Eyelash Glue Ingredients
The main ingredient included in every single eyelash extension glue on the market is Cyanoacrylate. Every lash glue on the market has this ingredient in it and you will not find one without it. What you do want to stay away from are the Cyanoacrylates that have or labeled Methyl and Methoxy.
The first one contains the strongest fumes and even though the adhesion quality is super high, it is too dangerous for eyes. Methoxy, it is less dangerous but the adhesion is low and won't truly stick.
The types of Cyanoacrylates that are safe are Ethyl (average fumes, strong adhesion) and Butyl (low fumes, low adhesion). Ethyl is the most commonly used because it ensures strong retention without damaging the eyes. It may still cause irritation for some clients. This is where Butyl comes in and saves the day with being on top of the ingredients of sensitive adhesives.
Drying Time
The only recommendation we can give you is to choose a speed that corresponds to your lashing speed. If you are a slow lasher, we recommend a 2-3 second lash glue. If you are a fast lasher we recommend a .5 to 1 second lash glue. If you are someone who wants to learn how to lash faster... use a .5 to 1 second lash glue. Speed comes with practice or even challenging yourself with a faster lash glue.
Environment
Eyelash extension glue is sensitive to temperature and humidity. So considering your environment is important. If you live/work in a place with higher humidity, the glue will cure/dry much faster, meaning that it'll lose the necessary powers for strong adhesion. On the contrary, when the climate is dry, the lash glue takes forever to cure. Our favorite tip to give beginner lash artist is to use Bonder after washing and taping your client down in order to control your environment. You apply it like primer.
